I lost my phone!!! would t-mobile be able to track it?

I lost my iphone today on the bus because today i decided to play with it and put it in my jacket's pocket and it most likely fell out when i was trying to put my backpack on. So could tmobile track the phone for me ? if so how would they get it back for me? thanks
